The Indian Government Rejected  RIM Proposal


India has rejected the proposal offered by RIM to intercept its mail service.the Indian Government has rejected the company’s proposal for interception of communications on both its instant messenger and enterprise services.According to reports the India’s Department of Telecommunications (DOT) has declined RIM’s solution for its corporate email decryption. A Telecom Ministry report stated security agencies could not intercept the corporate emails and chats on the BlackBerry Messenger.The government has also decided to ask Google, Skype and other companies providing communications services in India to allow interception of these communications by India’s security agencies.The problem crops up at a time when RIM’S 60 day grace period is coming to an end ON October 31st.
