Ban On Bulk SMS Services Extended until the 4th of October

The government of India has decided to extend the ban on Bulk SMS until the 4th of October.Indian government is taking no chances and has decided to play safe by extending the ban on bulk services until the 4th of this October.According to reports The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs has asked all mobile telecom service providers in the country to ban all bulk SMS & MMS until the 4th of October.The government had also banned sending of bulk SMS and MMS until the 24th October in view of the Ayodhya verdict.The ban was the extended until the 30th when the verdict was pronounced. But, now the government has decided to extend the ban to stop mischievous elements from spreading rumors and creating disturbances through the messaging service.
