Untethered iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak Now Available Through PwnageTool 4.2
iPhone Dev Team has just released PwnageTool 4.2 with iOS 4.2.1 untethered jailbreak on all idevices except iPod Touch 2G. that is also now available to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 untethered. it allows users to preserve their baseband so that an unlock can be performed.
If you want to just jailbreak and are not worried about an unlock, then you can just run the standard config. However, if you want to unlock in the future and you have the appropriate baseband installed, you’ll now be able to update to the latest iOS which is 4.2.1 with PwnageTool 4.2, preserve your older baseband and then jaulbreak untethered as well as apply the unlock.
You Just make sure that if you want to unlock and you are unlocked now, that you do not update to 4.2.1 the official way as you’ll be stuck locked after that.
