iPhone 4 Jailbreak for Mac and Linux Now Ready for users

iPhone 4 Jailbreak for Mac and Linux Now Ready Limera1n, the iOS 4.1 jailbreak, launched just over a week ago. When it launched it only ran on Windows based computers meaning that if you had a Mac then you couldn’t download the iPhone 4 jailbreak to install it.The Limera1n website has now been updated and now includes a version for Mac OS X allowing you to jailbreak your iPhone when connected to either computer.

The GreenPois0n jailbreak has also been updated and now includes the ability to use Linux to install the software on to. This particular jailbreak now works on Windows, Mac and Linux PCs allowing more to jailbreak if needed. One thing to note though is that although the jailbreak for iOS 4.1 does work, there is no unlock available just yet unless you do not upgrade the baseband and keep it on an older version. In other words, if that doesn’t make sense then I’d hold off for now if the main reason for jailbreaking your iPhone running 4.1 is to unlock it. It wont work without being careful.
