Android 3.0 Honeycomb SDK Download is Now Available



Google has released the Android 3.0 Honeycomb SDK and now it’s download is available .

It allows to users to get a look in to what the OS will look like. This will allow developers around the world to test on tablet devices. so they can test how it performs.

The Motorola Xoom is the first tablet that has been seen running the Android 3.0 Honeycomb SDK, but expect that versions of it will be made available for tablets currently running Android 2.1/2.2 from places such as XDA Developers.

“Today, we are releasing a preview of the Android 3.0 SDK, with non-final APIs and system image, to allow developers to start testing their existing applications on the tablet form-factor and begin getting familiar with the new UI patterns, APIs, and capabilities that will be available in Android 3.0.

A new ‘holographic’ UI theme and an interaction model that builds on the things people love about Android – multitasking, notifications, widgets, and others – and adds many new features as well,”

Android OS have been restricted to 7 inches. Honeycomb lets manufacturers break through that 7 inch limit and move on to the larger 10 inch form factor.
