Mozilla Is going to launches mozilla firefox 7 in end of September, It will use less memory up to 50 Percent. The developers have worked on memory leaks and also optimised in other ways to achieve the drop in usage.
The project to shrink memory usage is called MemShrink and started up about 2 months ago.
” mozilla firefox 7 uses less memory than Firefox 6 (and 5 and 4): often 20% to 30% less, and sometimes as much as 50% less,” Nethercote said in a blog post Tuesday. “This means that mozilla firefox 7 is faster (sometimes drastically so) and less likely to crash, particularly if you have many websites open at once and/or keep Firefox running for a long time between restarts.”
Mozilla will get it right this time as I’ve personally seen issues with memory problems on the browser and as much as I like it, it gets frustrating to use sometimes. If they will get it right this time around as to tempt a number of users back to the browser.
The new version is said to release memory quicker when not needed and also release the memory when each tab is closed. Firefox 7 will come in end of September.
